Groovy
Launching Groovy Interactive Console from IntelliJ
I use a lot the Groovy Console. It is a great thing to have it directly in the IDE.

Talking NetflixOSS, Groovy and Grails, and All Things Cloud Native
I have a 50 km daily commute to work in Madrid morning traffic jam. Thus I am an avid podcast and audio book listener. I was really happy when I found this show by The New Stack Analysts celebrated at SpringOne 2GX.
Always interesting to listen about how Netflix technology. When you listen to a past podcasts funny things happens. Such a conversation mentioning the future open source release of Spinnaker which actually happened on November 16th.
Spock
Java Testing with Spock
The book is already in early access program, but it is schedule to be released in December 2015. That it is to say, ready for your Christmas presents.
I have already stated in this newsletter that Spock is the perfect gateway drug into the Groovy world. For programmers like me who love to learn by reading books it is key to have a Spock book oriented to Java developers.
Grails
[SPANISH] Grails 3 Course
@iscariot696 has published a series of blog post about Grails 3. It is great because he starts from the installation of Grails 3 and builds from there. Every post goes into a lot of care to explain each concept surrounding Grails 3.
Solid Grails apps with verbose Groovy
I have a ticket for next weekend Madrid Codemotion 2015. In the 2014 edition I was in a great talk by @albertovilches . Unfortunately, there is no video of the talk. However, the slides linked (more than 100!) will allow you to follow along. If you have ever wonder where to put your business logic in a grails app, this talk may give you some answers.
Update: The talk video is in youtube. I missed it.

▶ Asset Pipeline
@davydotcom really good overview of the Asset Pipeline at GR8Conf US 2015.
I did not know that they have decoupled the asset pipeline from Grails and you can use it in a Gradle project to build a static html website. That it is something which I am going to use soon for our company website which is currently a static website with no CSS or Javascript minification.😞

This week is a heterogeneous set of links. You will find good old links which I wanted to post for a long time mixed with news and posts collections about Grails 3 and the ecosystem.
